Subject: Regarding Amanda and her time in the medlab...
Hello all,
I've had informal talks with a few of you on this, but I figure now's a good time to make it formal. Besides, this is something I should have acted on earlier anyway, though recent events have only made me more determined on this - and I think you'll all agree.
Amanda's tasks in regards to her healing of both students and staff needs to be curtailed. There is a point now where she is mostly always exhausted or tired (or was, before the holidays), from healing injuries that are not life-threatening and could manage just fine without her being called upon. This is unhealthy for her, and the kicker is that I don't mean in a physical way (though it is).
Emotionally speaking, she believes that if she doesn't do something to make herself worthy and useful, she doesn't deserve to stay. It may not be as acute as before, but I think it's still there. And she won't stop healing unless she runs out of magical oomph to do it, and then will repeat the process each time over and over again.
So... I'm thinking she needs to be limited in what she is asked to do. With the option of saying no, at all times. She won't mind you. But still.
It will also stop a trend of people taking healings from her for granted. This particular side of thing disturbs me as well and needs to stop. Now. Not only for the potentially abusive attitude this may turn into, but also for the carelessness it may engender.
So from now on? You break your arm, it heals the good old fashioned way.
You're at death's door - well, getting the nudge needed to keep you around isn't so much so ask for then.
A stark contrast, but that's my way of thinking on this. I leave the specifics and details to you three. You are far more competent on the matter of the human body and healing than I could ever hope to be.

And I'm staying off the journal system until the silly jokes about Magneto being dipped in chocolate are out of sight, because I'd like to punch something now. :p
Will be checking email.

You, me, punching bag downstairs in the gym? It won't stand a chance.
...
And then Haagen Daz I think. Because it may be messy but it also fixes everything, especially if the company is good.

I'll be there. And once you're done we can raid the fridge for Haagen-Daaz. And anything else you'd like along with it.
Salaam,
