I spent a bit of time last night thinking about the design - you realize that some of the components you sketched out don't even exist? I sussed them out, though, and the two-week timeframe's still reasonable. I scanned the stuff we were working on and added some notes, attached them for you.

Also, there's a file here - it's from that training directory on the server. Open directory, but all the files are specifically locked. I asked Doctor MacTaggart, and she told me to get your permission to unlock this one, it's got a set of readings on your powers. But then I was reminded that you had that big brain-damage accident thing a while back, and you said things are easier now. If it's significant, could we get together sometime next week and run some tests?

This thing's going to be SO cool...

Thanks for all the help this week, I wouldn't have had the first clue how to get the calibrations set for Mr. al-Rashid's implant without you. I think some of the biochemistry stuff's actually making sense, and I'm going to take the class on it next semester.

Anyway, do you want to go out for coffee or something? Just as kind of a "thanks for being a good assistant partner"?

Interesting. All of this a little beyond me personally, but the ghosts in question fully approve of your thoughts... oh, that sounded bad, your written thoughts, I mean.

I've unlocked that file to you, as well. What sort of tests did you have in mind? I'm all curious now...

Wow, this data's really outdated. Yeah, I'll need some calibration stuff. You mentioned spillover - well, mathematically it should happen at low levels of usage, too. Just not physically noticeable but enough for sensors to pick up. I've got a design for a sensor package that I think I can actually implement in a non-standard-lab way, something Dr. McCoy gave me the idea for.

Can you play basketball?

I'm worried about him too. He seems to be in really good spirits, though. And if he's got faith that the doctors are going to find a cure, well, I figure I can't do any less.

You spent the night with Jay. You know, if he doesn't mind, we could probably put an extra bed in his room if the couch is getting too uncomfortable. And Kyle was saying something about it smelling like girl all the time.

Jay has a REALY big bed. the couch is really uncomfortable now. I don't remember it being this bad a few weeks ago though.

Death from who? Paige has a very wacky sense of humor, so even if she does think you're hitting on her (which you're not, right?), she'll just tease you about it. Jono isn't about to do anything about it, and I don't think Angelo is the kind of fellow who'll throw you out a window because he's jealous. And if either Sam or I said anything bad about you asking her out, then she'd kill us.

So yeah, I wouldn't worry.

I'm well aware of the concept known as "out of my league", man. And like I said, Doc has me working on trying to get Jono back into an actual physical body, so there'd be a massive conflict of interest if I was trying to go after his girlfriend.

Gee, make me sound like more of a hopeless loser, could you? I think she's great, yeah. She's smart, funny, and attractive. I feel lucky enough just to get a "Hi, how you doin'?" from her - I'm not about to push my luck.

Like I said, so far out of my league the light from my league will not reach her for about seven years.
