Hey, this is a bit weird, and don't take this the wrong way but you're a bit less intimidating than Sam so I figure it's safe to ask you. Am I risking disembowelment or death if I ask your sister out to coffee to thank her for the help this week?

I got in late last night, and you weren't on the couch, and you weren't in your room this morning. You feeling all right, need anything from the doctors? Or if, you know, just someone to talk to. You know where to find me, I'll make time.

I spent a bit of time last night thinking about the design - you realize that some of the components you sketched out don't even exist? I sussed them out, though, and the two-week timeframe's still reasonable. I scanned the stuff we were working on and added some notes, attached them for you.
Also, there's a file here - it's from that training directory on the server. Open directory, but all the files are specifically locked. I asked Doctor MacTaggart, and she told me to get your permission to unlock this one, it's got a set of readings on your powers. But then I was reminded that you had that big brain-damage accident thing a while back, and you said things are easier now. If it's significant, could we get together sometime next week and run some tests?
This thing's going to be SO cool...

Paige,
Thanks for all the help this week, I wouldn't have had the first clue how to get the calibrations set for Mr. al-Rashid's implant without you. I think some of the biochemistry stuff's actually making sense, and I'm going to take the class on it next semester.
Anyway, do you want to go out for coffee or something? Just as kind of a "thanks for being a goodassistant partner"?
Forge.

Forge,
The pleasure is/was all mine, especially if I managed to create one more chem geek for the world. I should make t-shirts.
It is very obvious you've never seen me drink coffee. It's sort of like a chipmunk on speed. Luckily, most coffee places have expanded and now carry great teas, so I will definitely take you up on your very kind offer. I might even buy you cake! As thanks for being an awesome partner yourself.

Coffee or tea, either's fine by me. I'm a caffeine junkie myself, never been too particular about the source. Since the CoffeeQuake is still rebuilding, there's a nice one attached to a used bookstore a few blocks down. Sound good?

You are a god. Seriously. A god who can read my mind. Old books and tea. And you. You don't mind that I love you madly, right?
Not that I take no for an answer (or yes in this case) but I thought it'd be nice to ask anyway.
Paige
Postscript: That roughly translates to, "Sounds great!" in case you still haven't figured out Paige-speak.

Well, it just seemed, you know - books, relaxing, unwinding - it made better sense in my head, come to think of it.

It makes perfect sense to me, and it's not only in my head, but now in my e-mail and in my vocal chords due to excited squeeing noises. So there.
