Damn, I wish I could justify stealing you away for a couple of days this month. Maybe head back to that nice bed and breakfast with the quilts. And never get out of bed.

... all right, here's the plan. I finish out the shift with Cain, hand it over to the next victim on the roster, and tell them to ping my com if anything unusual happens. Since it's as silent as the dead down here, except for the grumbling Cain's been doing since he made the mistake of looking over my shoulder.

At that point, I can come running upstairs and make up for leaving you all alone up there all night.
