...couldn't help detecting the new addition to the scar collection. Funny, that. I'm also making some connections in my head between a certain not-crisis email from Jean while we were at Hank's parents' farm and the flags on your file for a while there. But, I'm not going to pry. Just wanted to let you know that.
But if you wanted to talk, well, that's another matter entirely. *smiles*

I'm guessing the backless shirt is the next stage of psychological healing and all, but I just wanted to make sure Alison's okay. I'm not going to ask what happened, even though I'm putting a few pieces together in my head (it's what I do, sorry), but consider me wearing my worried face, okay?
Oh, and Jean? I might need your help in explaining to Hank how this isn't a failure on his part. You know how he is sometimes, and seeing those scars... well, he's going to throw a fit he wasn't here at the time. I'll be Logic Woman at him, but I might need help from Common Sense Lass.

Yes, the shirt is part of the healing process, and it's up to her when she takes the next step, ie; explaining to people about it all. Worried face noted, and I direct all worried face questions to Al, in a not-pushing-her sort of fashion.
And yes, I will definitely be having a talk with Hank if he needs it. Common Sense Lass may pull out the Clue by Four of beating if it seems necessary, though.

Worried and concerned friend noises have been made at Alison in a suitable not-pushing fashion. Just making sure, given the extent of the scarring - it really wasn't that small a deal, was it?
Sorry, ignore that question. I promised no prying. Gah.
Hopefully no beatings will be needed, and I promise to keep the smooching to a minimum. ;)

Non-pushing is good. And I'll tell you what I'll tell Hank - she's ok, now, and that's the important part. The rest of it is up to her.
As the girlfriend, the smoochings are entirely your department. Actually, so are the beatings, but thank you for letting me have my clue by four anyway.

Just got word back from Al, in rather short fashion but then again today must have been stressful. So I'll flail here instead.
SABRETOOTH??!!
Okay, reminding self that yes, she is okay and that's the important part and I can be calm and rational. But hell, that makes a whole lot of things make sense and I don't even want to think what Al's been going through these past weeks. And you're right, it is up to her so I won't belabour the point, just get my reaction over and done with before I go talk to Hank.
And you're so much better with the Clue By Four. Besides, I still have my tranq gun for emergencies.

Being calm and rational is a good thing, yes. And, as clearly Al has said, Sabertooth, yes. Alison has been doing very well, all things considered.
I shall leave you your tranq gun. I'm only better with the Clue by Four because I can cheat and tell when people still aren't getting it, and why.

'Very well' is one hell of a euphenism. You've been spending too much time with Charles again.
To mangle Braveheart: "You may take my land, but you'll never take my tranq gun!"
Maddie.

I always spend too much time with Charles, between the excessive need for therapy and the first-student-father-figure thing. Luckily, I'm fond of Earl Grey.

...and I'm just fine. It was time to stop hiding them, really. No use or sense for it.
Oh. Sabretooth happened.

I figured you're fine since someone would have said otherwise. Just... warn a person before you drop a bombshell like that? Especially after the person's promised not to pry?
Okay, maybe flailing a little here.
But I'm not pushing - I don't need to spout all the psycho-babble at you about control and the rest and you'll let me know if you want to talk to me.
Maddie.

I warned! All day even.
And I've been talking oodles and lots to Charles, so the talking is covered. That and Jean too, since she's been handling the physical side of things. :)
Oh! Important! Did she tell you she swam to the middle of the lake today? She did good.

I was meaning more the name dropping, wench. _That_ needed warning.
No, she didn't. Oh, I sense a deal here. She swims, you bare? Well done, both of you. :)
*goes off to ply fellow-doctor with congratulatory chocolate from Hank's stash*

Miles got a good talk yesterday and a check up this morning. Paige and Amanda, for various reasons, I nabbed first.
Huh. Didn't know how. And the short version is survivable even if flail inducing, so I went for that.
Ayup. A deal it was. :)
Oh good. Save me some for tomorrow too? Hank gets good chocolate and I may have already eaten all of the last batch he got me.
Alison

Well yeah, they'd have precedence. And I guess it's not something you drop casually into conversation. Except by dropping it casually into conversation. *grins* Will forgive you the flail-inducement.
A good deal, by the sounds of it. Two psychological milestones, no waiting! ;)
And I think I can find you some chocolate. Something about sharing personal space with the supplier... *innocent* Speaking of which, time for me to finish up down here and go and do that.
Maddie.
