Unless my potency has reached such levels that it requires not even the most minor removal of clothing to take effect I am quite certain that Jen's debatable pregnancy is no doing of mine. However, I am now thoroughly disturbed.

Ah, you have caught me out. My intent was to use the subterfuge of a false marriage to coax Jen, steadily and through much patience and moderately-priced gifts, into a marriage that was true in fact. Now, however, it is clear to me that her affections are already clearly bound to another, and the ruse was hopeless from the start. Cheers, Laurie, for the irreparable shattering of my dreams.

Now there's nothing left but to find an easily-lifted portable stereo and a sufficiently heartrending ballad with which I may serenade her from the street below her father's home. Adieu, for I must find a store which sells 8-tracks.
