You know, I once had a respectable job. Vancouver might have been all about drugs and small men with big knives trying to hack off my face, but at least it was somewhat predictable. How's, what's her name, Jubilee? She recovering from the whole machine thing yet?

Jubes is doing better. Still wiped - she used up a lot of her body's reserves with that thing draining her the way it did, so she's lying around on her couch, watching TV and eating her body weight in carbs. I'll let her know you asked after her.

Yeah, well, that's didn't really work out so well the last time, considering she left for Canada.

That's good. I know some of the others have been having strange side-effects, so I wanted to make sure she wasn't exploding on a regular basis.

We're keeping an eye on her, since 'weird side effects' are something we've had fun with in the past. Jubes tends to use herself to fuel her powers, so when someone tries to give her a boost, her metabolism goes sort of crazy. I keep trying to tell her that she needs to eat something that isn't coated in grease occasionally, tho', drain or no drain. She eats worse than I did living on the streets, I swear.

It's not your fault. Marie came up in conversation recently, and I'm just a little sensitive about it right now. I shouldn't be taking it out on you.

Nothing wrong with a little grease at times. Mind you, I don't have to worry about the issues that come from bad food choices.

Jubes doesn't have to worry about turning into a blimp, but I seem to remember these vitamin things Moira taught me about when I was helping out in medlab. And since I'm the closest thing we have to a medic, I like to try and pretend I know what I'm doing sometimes. So Jubes gets the odd bit of broccoli waved at her threateningly.
