It's hard sometimes to understand the boundaries of the sort of intimacy a link gives you. Mistakes are very easy to make - more so, I would think, with an empathic link than a telepathic one. It doesn't mean that a situation can't be salvaged, however much like shit you might feel while you're in the middle of it.
